I can barely contain my excitement over the upcoming debut album launch for Caroline Keating’s Silver Heart (2012). Over the last few years, I have had the pleasure of interviewing Caroline Keating a few times and it has always been a treat. Keating’s performances are riveting, showcasing the musings of an intriguing and strong young songstress. As a musician, Keating has taken the independent approach to music making and it has made her stronger than ever at her craft. As she has played shows in Quebec, Nova Scotia and toured Europe, Keating has built a personal relationship with her fans and her songs have become refined to the point of being much like an elegant French wine. Keating is one of Montreal’s best singer-songwriters and her collaboration with Sebastian Chow (violin) and Matt Perrin (double bass) has brought her music to whole other level. Come check out her album launch at Chapelle St-Louis on April 12, 2012.

Opening for her is Philémon Chante a charming musician whose soft endearing vocals and a sort of minimalist jazz make for lovely emotional song journeys.
