Well, here’s something from the FTB Studios vault that’s appropriate to share again today, February 14th, also known as Valentine’s Day. It’s part of the self-produced web-TV series JC Sunshine’s Fireside Chat and while some of the jokes in the “news” segment may be a little dated (try 4 years), the three original songs and one original song parody are still catchy as hell.

So sit back with a loved one, or by yourself, we won’t judge, and enjoy JC, his neighbour Jenny, his stalker Suzie, Rex, Ricardo and special guest Cupid (Mylene Robic) in the JC Sunshine St-Valentine’s Day Musical Massacre!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Well, it’s Christmas Eve and while many may be hunkering down with family, others will turn to holiday entertainment. Maybe it’s classics like It’s A Wonderful Life or more recent cinematic traditions.

Or maybe, just maybe, you’re into short (or short-ish) Christmas-themed YouTube clips. If that’s the case, then enjoy this selection:

Captain Picard Sings Let It Snow

Just added to the, um, cannon this year, here’s Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the Enterprise D singing the immortal classic Let It Snow. Thank James Covenant for putting this thing together and Make It So!

JC Sunshine Saves X-Mas

This one’s from our own archives. Produced by FTB as part of the series JC Sunshine’s Fireside Chat, this Power Rangers’-style battle features, Santa, teleportation, elves and the outside of Cavendish Mall in Cote-St-Luc. If you like it, you can also watch the full episode it’s from. Enjoy!

Jon Stewart on Megyn Kelly and Santa’s Race

Fox News host Megyn Kelly really stepped in it when she criticized one blogger’s suggestion that maybe we shouldn’t think of Santa as white. The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart probably had the best reaction:

Chuggo: Deck the Halls

Some Christmas rap? We’ve got some Christmas rap. Enjoy this piece by Montreal rapper Chuggo:

Jingle Cats: Let it Snow

And what YouTube Christmas video collection would be complete without the Jingle Cats? Not this one! Enjoy:

As you get ready to settle down and celebrate with your family, friends and loved ones, we here at Forget The Box would like to take the time to wish everyone involved with this project as well as all of our supporters, readers and friends the very best this holiday season.

This year, we’re giving you three Christmas presents:

.

First, JC Sunshine Saves X-Mas, a funny and touching special holiday episode from our original series, JC Sunshine. In it JC Sunshine goes in search of Santa Clause to battle Ol’ Jolly St. Nick for his neighbour Jenny’s love. Along the way he meets, the group SUNSHINE from Brooklyn who give him advice and steer him in the right direction. (more or less) It’s a classic holiday tale of love and togetherness mixed with some old school brawling, fisticuffs and green screen magic.

.

..

Second, we present to you Montreal rapper Chuggo’s festive rendition of Deck The Halls… Gangsta style.

Chuggo is one of the city’s up and coming rap artists, who some have compared to Montreal comedic genius Jon Lajoie. This video, Chuggo’s latest is hilarious and we know you’ll love it!

.

.

Lastly, our third present to all of you is Stephanie Laughlin’s Friday Film Review, where she looks back at one of her favorite holiday films, It’s A Wonderful Life. A classic that holds a warm place in many of our hearts.

Please feel free to re-gift and share with all your friends!

We’re going to take a much needed (one day) rest and be back with new content on December 26th. Expect an end of year, year-in-review before New Years, chronicling how we saw 2010, culminating in our annual New Year’s Eve retrospective.

So a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at ForgetTheBox to all of you!

JC Sunshine return home after drinking Suzie’s “special coco” with nothing but a fuzzy recollection of the evenings events. JC is ready to host his show like normal, but all isn’t normal for JC, Ricardo and Rex. Rex is under the weather and so he takes Rex to the vet where JC also meets special guest is Loretta Clark of the High Times store. Other special appearances by pot, booze, acid, peyote, cocaine and some concoction that we’re really not sure what it is…

The IOC forces JC Sunshine and Rex to flee to New York City and host the show from Brooklyn after they try to stage their own Olympic Games. They are forced to leave Ricardo behind at the border. Special guest is Crawford Forbes from the band Sunshine.
