Some quality shows this week.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17
Black Love + Jet Black + TDOAFS + Big Knife Little Knife @ Turbo Haus
Montreal band Black Love are launching their full-length debut after being away from Montreal for a while. The self-titled album was produced by noted Montreal producer and musician Radwan Ghazi Moumneh (Jerusalem In My Heart) at the famed Hotel2Tango studios.

Single Mothers + The Dark Plains + Windpisser @ Bar Le Ritz PDB
While Toronto-based Single Mothers have been around since 2008, they’ve only just released their full-length debut Negative Qualities (HXC Recordings and Dine Alone). They’re kicking off a huge North American tour right here in Montreal that will include stops at CMJ and Halifax Pop Explosion.
Show starts at 9 p.m.; $12 at the door or in advance online, at Aux 33 Tours, Phonopolis and l’Oblique.
Iceage + Merchandise + Lower + Father Murphy @ La Vitrola
This month Denmark’s Iceage released their third studio album, Plowing Into the Field of Love, and have embarked on a world tour with some other international acts: Tampa Bay’s Merchandise, Denmark’s Lower and Italy’s Father Murphy.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 20
Krill + Steve JR + Moss Lime @ Brasserie Beubien
Boston’s Krill are also on a pretty big North American tour, with plans to tour Europe in the new year. So get out and see them, because they likely won’t be back for a while.
